Prepare the Mind and Body for the blessing of the Sacred Ash, Oil or Water (the Breath of Siva annointing and demo video)
After a short time of relaxation and
preparation. Sit upright in a straight backed chair, with your hands
facing down on the knees, Head tilted slightly up. Be relaxed and yet
alert. Place the Mind in a state of calm and relaxation . Close the eyes and focus the attention on the breath. (slow
breath, inhale through the nose exhale through the mouth - approximately
3 count in 4 count out as a guide-but what ever is comfortable-please don't
strain)
(If you like, think the word "Ma" on the inhale and the
word "Om" on the exhale. Continue the breathing pattern until you feel
relaxed and balanced.
(4 or 5 breaths is fine more if you feel it)
